Magento 2 Admin Review - Customers

What are the Magento 2 Customer Accounts?

The Magento 2 Customer Accounts section allows store owners to configure the way that customers create and manage their accounts. The Customer Accounts section includes settings for the following:
  • Name and Address Options: This section allows store owners to configure the number of lines in a street address, and whether to include a prefix or suffix before or after the customer's name.
  • Password Options: This section allows store owners to configure the email templates that are used when customers forget their passwords, and the lifetime of the password recovery link. Store owners can also choose whether to allow customers to change their own passwords, or require that only store administrators can do so.
  • Customer Groups: This section allows store owners to create and manage customer groups. Customer groups determine which discounts are available, and the tax class that is associated with the group. The default customer groups are General, Not Logged In, and Wholesale.
